Paper Trading Platform with AI
Paper trading is where you find out if a strategy actually holds up. TRION pairs an AI-assisted strategy builder with a deterministic paper runtime, so you can stress-test an idea without risking a dollar.
- 01 Paper trading is for validation, not profit promises
- 02 TRION's AI drafts and explains strategies but never executes
- 03 Every test is simulation-only and HOLD-only, with explicit non-live flags
- 04 Realistic slippage and fee models; missing data shows as N/A
- 05 Humans approve every signal, even in simulation
In-depth analysis
The problem most paper tools ignore
Most paper trading tools are toys. Random slippage, no realistic queue position, no real position-sizing math. They tell you a strategy works when it would not. TRION takes the opposite stance: the paper runtime is built as the first boundary of a real execution engine, so the math you test against is the math that would matter later.
How the AI fits in
The AI assists. It helps you draft, explain, and analyze a strategy in plain language. It does not approve, activate, or execute anything. Every signal routes through the same risk checks a live system would use, and the broker boundary stays HOLD-only. Each test carries explicit flags (simulation_only=true, can_trade=false, paper_only=true) so there is no ambiguity: nothing here touches a real market. You decide what to keep.
What you actually get
You get a documented, repeatable record of how a strategy behaved under realistic slippage and fee assumptions. Where data is not available, TRION shows N/A rather than inventing a number. That is the honest limit: this is validation, not a promise of future results. A strategy that survives paper runtime is one worth examining further, not one guaranteed to make money.
The mantra holds throughout: AI assists. TRION validates. Risk protects. Humans decide.
What TRION adds
TRION's paper runtime is built as the first boundary of a real execution engine, not a throwaway sandbox. Strategies pass through the same risk checks and position-sizing math you would want in production, which makes a passing result meaningful rather than cosmetic.
It is paper-only and HOLD-only by design in beta. Nothing routes to a broker or exchange, no real orders or fills exist, and the AI never decides for you. You get a defensible test record; you keep the judgment.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run my AI strategy in paper mode without giving up control?
Yes. TRION's paper-runtime requires explicit human approval before any signal is acted on, even in simulation. AI never bypasses risk rules.
How realistic is TRION's paper trading?
The runtime uses realistic slippage, fee models, and queue assumptions. Where data is unavailable, TRION shows N/A rather than faking results.
Does paper-runtime use real-time market data?
Phase 2 Beta runs against curated historical data and recent feed snapshots. Live tick paper-runtime is planned post-beta.
TRION is a simulation-only, paper-only research and validation workstation. It is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, or live trading system, and it does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss. Backtests and simulations are based on historical data and assumptions and are not guarantees of future results. Reviewed by TRION Research.
